Is This Murder or Self Defense?

One of the videos I posted had this interesting related video about an incident that happened in 2010. In the video, it appears someone is being followed and they park their car and an SUV pulls up and a guy get out, next thing you know, the guy is laid out on the ground from getting popped. The reason why I found this video interesting was the comments that were left on YouTube and I want to make sure people understand the answer if this was murder or self-defense.

By the way, the video is not really graphic at all in my opinion, you really don’t see anything:

Cortez Waller has been charged with first degree murder and aggravated assault following Thursday’s fatal shooting of Christopher Childress outside the Conway Police Department, 20th Judicial District Prosecuting Attorney Marcus Vaden said.

Waller allegedly shot and killed Childress Thursday after a disturbance in the police station’s Front Street parking lot. According to Conway Police Department Public Information Officer Chris Harris, Childress followed Waller to the police department in his vehicle after the two crossed paths in town. Waller allegedly went to the police department to report an unrelated theft.

Following a confrontation between the two men, four shots were fired, and Childress was transported to Conway Regional Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead with multiple gunshot wounds to the torso.

Waller turned himself into police immediately following the incident.

Harris said Waller and Childress’ fiancee, DeRanda Carter, recently had a relationship, but officials were getting conflicting information on when the relationship ended.

But this is how it turns out:

Cortez Waller, who was accused of of murder in the second degree following the shooting of Christopher Childress outside the Conway Police Department, was found not guilty. Waller was also acquitted of the charge of aggravated assault of Lana Peterson.

Now, the debate was cats talking about this was murder because the guy was unarmed. Then some cats started posting the guy was not a “real man” for pulling out a gun instead of putting up his dukes and fight it out like a man. Then I’m hearing other cats talk about he should have shot only once in self-defense.

Then there are other cats who stated the video clearly show the guy was going to the police station in fear of his life and the guy cornered his car and ran up on him in an aggressive manner and the shooting was justified. They also indicated the guy first reaction was to go into the police station and explain the situation, not run away if he was a true murderer.

So with that said, here is what I think about this situation and you cats can tell us your angle. I read something about the lady who the shooter was probably f*cking and some kids were in the SUV when the shooting occurred. The reason I believe they were f*cking is because in the video, you see her get out of the SUV, run up to the shooter and that tells me she has some trust for the guy who just pulled the trigger – most cats be running their ass off away from the situation after shots get fired. I want you to remember this detail for a reason and don’t laugh either.

Here in Georgia and the same goes for Texas and Florida and a whole bunch of other states, if you got some macho attitude, believe you the baddest cat on the block, like throwing up colors or gang signs like that suppose to intimidate, carry some kind of “beat them up” swagger and you run up on any cat down here like that cat did with the SUV, you going to get your punk ass shot up and they going to ship your corpse back to that hood you been repping.

There wouldn’t even be a trial – the cops would give the man his gun back and tell him to go home and enjoy a beer and probably smirk and say “nice kill” being the rednecks cops they are. Because here in Georgia, you can carry a firearm and don’t need a conceal license. But getting a conceal license takes about 45 minutes to apply and get it in the mail and everybody I know down here got one so don’t get us confused with places like New York or Illinois or whatever yall from. Cats down here are strapped.

So with that said, the dude in the SUV is probably the most dumbest cat to lose their life in the most dumbest way possible. I have a personal problem with guys trying to fight over their woman like they own them. Because I’m going to end it on that point I made above, you should have noticed that the guy was still alive around the 2:00 mark in the YouTube video. That means before mr. macho dude who got out of the SUV died, he saw his girl who he got shot over run up to the shooter and argued with him like she had feelings for him. Look at the video again in case you didn’t catch that – yeah, that’s messed up, ain’t it?

Yeah – morale of the story, don’t fight over any chicks and if you going to run up on someone, expect to get your ass shot. I can’t be more blunt than that, especially down here in the South where cats ain’t playing around like that with anybody who got a ego bigger than their gun play skills.

Important Update:

I was suspect of the guy getting out the SUV because he didn’t look or walked like a Black man and was dressed like a cornball. I finally realize why the brotha was arrested and charged with first degree murder – the dude he shot appeared to be White. This is obviously a bigoted prosecution trying to get the brotha locked up shooting a White agressor and I read the prosecutor resigned after he was acquitted of murder. There is no way he should have been tried over this in the first place and I think that is what really going on here.
