These Newspapers Are Failing Because They Targeted The Suburbs

As CNN promote these failing newspapers on their web site front page, I just want to remind everybody the real reason why these major city newspapers are failing. These newspapers are failing simply because they have a White Privilege editorial board hell-bent on making sure their customer base were defined as White people, not people of color who were becoming the majority population in these cities. The newspaper failure to embrace diversity in their own city is the number one reason why they failed.

If cats think I’m make this ish up, they are just a clueless idiot in denial because I seen the research for mainstream media “target market demographic” and it specifically calls for targeting White people. The same research that states that White people makes up 80% of American buying power and to disregard the other 20%. These media bigots purposely target Whites only and are unapologetic about it – stop acting like I’m the radical or the problem for mentioning what’s these people are plotting everyday in the editorial boardroom.

Keep in mind that the cities these newspapers are failing in had a growing population of Blacks and Hispanic since the early 70s and their revenue history will reveal their decline falls in line with White flight. What these newspapers decided to do is not cover news on the Black and Hispanic population but instead choose to pursue the White flight and started pushing their papers out to the suburban population. They were chasing that 80% market demographic at any cost and they use that metric to justify not covering young Blacks or Hispanics who were killed in the hood.

Anyone who appreciate business models will find this to be funny. Someone operating a business and see their customer demographic change in real-time around around them. They are a physically-defined business that covers that region like a major city. Instead of embracing the new demographic of customers, these fools try to chase the fleeing demographic – ain’t that some stupid business ish? LOL!

Please do not feel sorry of any of these newspaper bastards because what they did was help contribute to the downfall of our inner cities and actually contributed to the rise in crime. These newspapers didn’t give a sh*t about brown-on-brown crime. Then like all social ills like illicit sex, drugs and violence that is tolerated in the brown communities, such things always spreads itself out to the White community. Then you see some old fart on TV saying “this is a quiet neighborhood, we didn’t think it would happen here” after it did happened there.

Let me give you brothas and sistas a little clue about something – Black entrepreneurial hustlers in Brooklyn, Chicago, Detroit, LA, Kansas City, Boston, Dallas, Houston, Baltimore and others took advantage of these mainstream media bigots and started to target the people of color the mainstream media have tried to hard to ignore. A lot of these cats became very rich and they don’t need to tell other cats they made paper or even see the haters when they are walking around the Catalina Islands with big sunglasses on.

This is why I keep telling you brothas and sistas the international entrepreneurial advantages you have to come in being about diversity. Do not try to mimic these mainstream media bigots when you can actually outdo them by representing consumers they chose to ignore. The newspaper is one of those markets because they chose to ignore all the small businesses in the inner city that you cats can go after.

You want to know the funny part? These defunct newspapers are talking going online only with a web site domain named after a city that they ignored!? Man, yall can ramp up a Wordpress magazine template and cats with Twitter right now and take these newspapers ass head-on and compete for that customer base. Build your base all over the city, call up these advertisers currently in the major newspaper, pitch your new “online newspaper” to these advertiser and take revenue from these punk ass bigots who tried to ignore the inner city blues when they were a print edition. And don’t forget to make that sh*t mobile phone friendly so cats can read it on the bus or subway going to work…

But anyway, these newspapers reflect a bigger problem in America right now and we may not recover from this economic downturn if we don’t address it on a real talk level. Bottom line is you have these White Privilege Banks, Wall Street and CNBC hell-bent on seeing only White people benefit from any economic recovery plan.When the Obama administration is discussing buying up “toxic assets” to get the banks to lend again, what good is that for people of color who are still facing lending discrimination by some of these institution? It is very well-off Black people with excellent credit that can’t get loans on favorable terms and we saw that with these subprime loans.

See, I can tell you right now that this economic recovery Obama is proposing is some bullsh*t that will only give money to the same greedy, privileged cats who messed things up in the first place. Until we see economic recovery in a true revolution form to give it to people and invest in new cats to make new money, we ain’t going to solve ish.

Some of yall are setting yall selves up for a big disappointment if you continue to pretend that we can ignore the White Privilege aspect of the current economic downturn and not look towards diversity and working together as the real solution.
